We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Severnside Dairy within the Müller Milk & Ingredients business.
As an Engineering Technician, you will provide safe front-line reactive maintenance, identify root causes, and restore equipment quickly. You will also seek cost-effective improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Location: Severnside
Contract: Permanent, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days & 2 nights, 7-7)
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure effective shift handovers
* Use PMS for prioritization and problem solving (RCFA)
* Diagnose faults, repair, and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment
* Report defects and symptoms of failure, provide CMMS data
* Coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for technical support and parts
* Lead shift-based problem solving
* Work collaboratively with First Line Response Technicians
* Coach operators on asset care tasks
* Identify and implement improvements
* Address lifecycle issues with recommendations
* Support 5WHY and RCA techniques for long-term fixes
* Support departmental 5S programs
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognized apprenticeship
* Experience in maintenance within manufacturing industry
* Mechanical/electrical bias
* ONC/HNC qualification
* IOSH/Nebosh certification (desirable)
* Electrical qualification
* Multiskilled engineer experience
Note: This role involves a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating days and nights.
