Job Description Summary We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, high-value EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects within our HVDC and AC Systems portfolio across the UK, including both onshore and offshore environments. This is a critical leadership role where you will take full ownership of complex turnkey transmission infrastructure projects-driving delivery from initial design through procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning, through to final handover. You will lead large, multidisciplinary teams and work closely with senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is based in Glasgow and follows a hybrid working model (usually 3 days in the office, 2 from home). Given the nature of our project portfolio and stakeholder engagement, close proximity to the project environment and customer is essential. We are therefore looking for candidates who are either locally based or willing to relocate from elsewhere in the UK. Due to the complexity of the projects, this role requires a strong understanding of the UK transmission sector and CDM regulations. You will bring proven experience operating within UK regulatory frameworks, standards, and delivery models, enabling you to make an immediate impact. LOCATION: Glasgow, UK (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home) BUSINESS: Grid Solutions / Power Systems Job Description What You'll Be Doing Full Project Ownership Lead the end-to-end delivery of large EPC/turnkey transmission projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and customer expectations Leadership & Team Management Lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Contracts Stakeholder Engagement Build and manage strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout Construction & Delivery Oversight Provide strong leadership across construction, installation, and commissioning phases, ensuring safe and efficient site execution Commercial & Financial Management Own project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, margin protection, and reporting Risk & Claims Management Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage contractual claims and drive resolution of issues Planning & Execution Ensure all project activities are clearly defined, scheduled, and delivered in line with contractual milestones EHS Leadership Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring EHS is embedded in all project decisions and execution strategies Quality Leadership & Assurance Champion a culture of quality excellence by embedding quality requirements into all project decisions, ensuring deliverables meet contractual specifications, and driving continuous improvement through effective non-conformance management and compliance with GE Vernova's Quality Management System. Tender & Pre-Execution Support Contribute to tender validation by reviewing delivery models, risks, and commercial commitments What We're Looking For _It is essential that candidates bring significant experience delivering transmission projects within the UK. This role requires someone who can take full ownership and operate effectively from day one, with a strong understanding of UK regulations, standards, and construction delivery practices._ _We are particularly interested in candidates who have gained this experience through working on Grid substations with major UK network operators such as National Grid, SSE, or UK Power Networks.
