Are you a senior-level CNC programmer with strong experience in 3- and 5-axis machining, HyperMill, and process optimisation?
This is your opportunity to lead programming strategy for a cutting-edge manufacturing environment, taking ownership of technical machining operations from programming through to production support.
Were working with a highly respected precision engineering business in Oxfordshire that supplies into advanced technology sectors. Theyre seeking a Lead Programmer to own and develop machining methods across metallic components, supporting NPI, process improvements, and mentoring junior programmers.
What You'll Be Doing: Lead CNC programming and machining methodology across 3- and 5-axis milling operations
Program using HyperMill and collaborate on tooling, fixture design, and CAD inputs
Drive improvements in efficiency, cycle time, quality, and safety
Support new product introduction, process validation, and prove-outs on the shop floor
Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior programmers and liaising with production, engineering, and quality teams
What Were Looking For: Proven experience programming multi-axis CNC mills (3/4/5 axis)
Strong CAM programming skills (ideally HyperMill) and ability to work from CAD data
Confident working with Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls
Understanding of tooling and fixture design, and the ability to support NPI
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
