You will provide personal care, promote nutritional needs, and assist in the preparation, recovery and recuperation of patients on their journey to better health.
About the Role
Our Healthcare/Theatre Support Workers (HCSWs/THCSWs) form an essential and well-respected part of our Healthcare and Theatre teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the Community, in our Acute Hospitals or within our Theatre teams.
No previous experience or qualifications are required, just a desire to deliver excellent patient care with the support and guidance of your colleagues. You will quickly become a valued member of the team through our comprehensive training and induction programme. Once you have completed your training, and gained the necessary experience you will progress along the salary scale.
If you have previous, related experience and can demonstrate the ability to meet the competencies of the role then you will join further up the salary scale and we will continue to invest in your development as you progress your career with us.
We are recruiting to both fixed term and substantive vacancies, for a minimum of 15 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week. If you are not fully flexible with the days/shifts that you are able to work, unfortunately, we will not be able to consider your application at this time.
Working Patterns
We care for our patients around the clock so we will need you to work a range of shift patterns. These range from short shifts, day shifts between 8am and 8pm and 12.5 hour day and night shifts with an hour break in the ward areas. Please do check this at your interview.

We are recruiting across our services covering North Devon District Hospital, our Community Hospitals, and in our community locations in North Devon.

Salary
* Band 2: £25,272 per annum pro rata
* Band 3: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum pro rata
