Oak Haven School is a nurturing, inclusive, and specialist SEMH setting for Key Stage 2 to 4 learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our mission is to provide a safe, empowering environment where every young person is supported to Empower, Heal, and Thrive.
Newly established in September 2025, we are now looking for a School Based Family Support worker to join our team. Working closely with within our safeguarding and welfare teams, the successful candidate will work in partnership with our families providing support to allow our learners to become empowered, heal and thrive.
Working closely with our Children’s Welfare Officer, the successful candidate will liaise with families, providing them with guidance and practical support to remove barriers to learning and support attendance.
If you are passionate about supporting children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs in a nurturing environment, we would be excited to hear from you.
The successful candidate must possess a GCSE (level 9-4 or level 2) in maths and English. Additionally, the successful candidate must have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in health and social care, social work, family support, or a level 3 in teaching and learning.
Significant experience planning for and delivering support to vulnerable families is essential.
