A welcoming primary school in Leyland is seeking a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This long‑term role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting children’s learning and development in a structured school environment. Your responsibilities will include supporting teachers with lesson activities, working with pupils who require additional guidance, and helping maintain a calm and productive classroom atmosphere. You will assist with preparing resources, supervising pupils during transitions and contributing to the overall running of the school day. This role is ideal for someone who is considering a future career in teaching or education and wants to build practical experience.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience working with children in roles such as youth work, care work or sports coaching. A patient, enthusiastic and reliable approach is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
