What’s In Store For You: This is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in Durham, NC, with three days onsite and two days remote. The role offers exposure to both manual and automation testing in a balanced environment, supporting backend systems and customer-facing outputs. You will work closely with QA, engineering, and business stakeholders while gaining hands-on experience with insurance platforms, data validation, and document generation systems. This role provides strong growth potential within QA, whether building foundational experience or expanding into more senior, domain-focused responsibilities. How You Will Make An Impact Execute both manual and automated test cases across backend systems and digital applications Validate data accuracy across systems, including data feeds, transformations, and outputs Perform regression, integration, and functional testing across multiple environments Execute and maintain automation scripts, with the ability to modify when needed Review and validate generated outputs such as billing documents and customer-facing PDFs Perform detailed comparisons of system outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency Identify, log, and track defects, partnering with development teams for resolution Support testing across insurance workflows and digital platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases Are you an experienced QA professional ready to make an impact across manual and automation testing? Candidates may be considered under one of these two profiles: QA Analyst 4 to 7 years of QA experience Strong mix of manual and automation testing (close to 50/50) Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks Experience executing test cases, maintaining scripts, and supporting regression cycles Strong attention to detail in validating workflows, outputs, and customer-facing documents Exposure to backend systems or data validation is a plus Insurance experience is helpful but not required Senior QA Analyst (Insurance Preferred) 6 to 10 years of QA experience Strong background in both manual and automation testing in complex environments Preferred experience in life insurance or annuities; health or P&C also considered Experience validating backend workflows, business rules, and system outputs Ability to work across business and technical teams with minimal ramp-up Strong communication skills and a mature testing mindset Comfortable handling more complex QA scenarios and stakeholder interaction For both profiles, the team is looking for: Balanced manual and automation testing experience Experience executing and modifying existing automation scripts Strong QA fundamentals across regression, integration, and defect tracking Familiarity with tools such as JIRA or similar Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving Clear, professional communication and ability to collaborate across teams Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Durham, NC dice
