Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 30 academies; 17 secondary and 13 primaries across the North of England in fourteen Local Authority regions.
Mount PellonPrimary Academy would like to recruit an enthusiastic Pupil Support Officer, who has experience of developing positive relationships with children. We are looking for a good communicator, with an ability to engage and support our diverse community and school family. This role is school term plus 5 days.
The successful candidate will:
* Support all staff to implement our behaviour policy consistently and fairly
* Have good understanding of behaviour strategies to support students to be reflective
* Have knowledge and skills to support mental wellbeing of students
* Have experience of delivering interventions which supports students to manage a range of personal and relationship worries
* Use data to ensure that support is incisive and effective
* Implement agreed safeguarding and child protection policies
* Assist academy leaders in the coordination of referrals, arranging action as directed
* Actively work jointly with parents / carers and other agencies through joint planning
