Health and Safety Consultant
UK-wide travel required | Full-time | career progression to Team Manager
To £60,0000 plus car allowance (£450 pm) + benefits + expenses
A super opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to join an established and growing Health & Safety Consultancy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver practical, tailored solutions that drive compliance, mitigate risk, and foster positive safety cultures.
The Role
As a Health and Safety Consultant, you'll work closely with clients to provide expert advice and hands-on support. You’ll conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections, and help develop and implement bespoke Health and Safety management systems. While the role currently has no direct reports, there is potential for future progression into a leadership position.
Role Overview:
* Deliver expert advice aligned with legislation and best practices
* Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Develop and implement tailored Health and Safety management systems (e.g. HSG65, ISO 45001)
* Support clients in embedding safe working practices and positive safety cultures
* Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks
* Maintain audit-ready records of assessments and inspections
* Recommend and support implementation of corrective actions
* Contribute to team performance through feedback, collaboration, and supporting wellbeing
* Drive process improvements and support cost-effective service delivery
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards)
* Proven consultancy experience in Health and Safety
* Strong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
* Willingness to travel throughout the UK
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in construction and/or commercial sectors (desirable)
* Additional Health and Safety qualifications or specialisms (desirable)
* Experience managing or mentoring team members
* Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Skilled in balancing multiple priorities
* Committed to personal development and continuous improvement
This role involves travel to client sites - UK wide
