We’re currently hiring for a Registered Manager (RM) to oversee all Quality Governance and Regulated activities within Scotland
The Registered Manager will be Clinical24 Scotland Governance lead reporting directly into the Complex Care Governance Group chaired by the Chief Nurse for the UK.
The Registered Manager will need to be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and be accountable for ensuring the service meets Clinical 24 standards and following the ICG complaints procedure, as well as Care Inspectorate regulatory requirements (where appropriate) for Nursing Agencies and Domiciliary Care/Complex Care.
Responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of personalised care plans as appropriate in Domiciliary Care/Complex Care and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs and must ensure the delivery of quality care and manage budgets and resources effectively. The role will also be responsible for overseeing Clinical24 Nurse Interviewers and ensure efficiencies, performance and quality control are managed effectively in line with Governance and Business Requirements.
There will be a requirement to travel to assess and ensure effective management of packages of care and the staff working within them. The Care Packages being provided in Scotland include clients with complex physical needs, mental health and learning disabilities. The clients will include children and adults and the care will also cover for some of our clients the transition from child to adult care.
Professionally responsible to the ICG Medical Ltd Chief Nurse who will also support supervision and revalidation for the post holder, the role will Report into the Operations Manager for Clinical 24 Scotland and will be required to spend time in the office as directed by the Operations Manager
The organisational structure allows operational and regulatory activities to take place at the highest of standards. With professional line accountability as a nurse to the ICG Chief Nurse. The operational structure ensures there is support from all areas of the business within the senior leadership team and ensuring investment is made when there is a business requirement with on the ground support to allow the role to develop an operational capacity.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Our expectation is that the individual must be an NMC registrant with no restrictions on practice
* Significant experience in any health or social care setting with people who have significant needs including children, young people or vulnerable adults
* Candidates must be able to demonstrate operational management capability in a health and/or social care setting e.g. Ward/Dept Manager/Care Home Manager
* Ideally the individual must have Registered Manager experience within the last 3 years
Essential experience and knowledge of the following:
1. People Management including staff welfare
2. Effective communication
3. Use of IT skills such as Word, Excel and Microsoft (including SharePoint)
4. Complex/Domiciliary Care, including physical, psychological, mental health and legal requirement of service users management across all age spectrums
5. Acute hospital experience, within the public and private sector, including the management of clinical professionals and Healthcare
6. Complaint, Concerns and Safeguarding Management
7. Extensive experience of Interview and Recruitment Standards and to be able to work closely with the Compliance Manager
8. Ensure the effective implementation and evaluation of all Policies, Professional and Legal Requirements to ensure safe and effective care is delivered to patients/clients/service users
