Role Overview
Join BDO’s Indirect Tax business as a Tax Consultant, delivering tax technical, project management and client service solutions.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a local team supported by Senior Managers, a Director and a Partner, and build and manage your advisory portfolio.
* Take responsibility for your own client portfolio and act as the primary contact for client senior management.
* Build an internal and external network locally to generate new business opportunities.
* Actively seek opportunities to sell new services to existing clients.
* Lead engagements with HMRC on behalf of clients.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop team members and drive wider business aims.
Qualifications
* Significant technical understanding and previous experience within UK VAT.
* In-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus within UK VAT.
* Experience leading engagements with HMRC for clients.
* Experience and credibility when dealing with client senior management.
* Understanding of the regulatory and risk environment for ICAEW regulated professional services firms.
* CTA, ACA qualified or equivalent.
