We are seeking a passionate and committed Clinical/Counselling psychologist to join our Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT) in Ealing. MINT is a multidisciplinary service providing holistic support and treatment to adults presenting with a range of mental health difficulties within a stepped-care framework. We have an established psychology team which is well integrated and highly valued in the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessments and treatment for individuals with complex mental health conditions who have experienced trauma and struggle with emotional regulation, both 1-1 and in groups.
* Deliver therapy to a client group who struggle with self-harm and suicidal behaviours as part of the DBT Programme.
* Provide psychological consultation and guidance to the whole MDT and offer supervision and training for Band 7 psychologists, trainee and assistant psychologists.
* Embed trauma-informed principles within the work of the whole MDT team.
* Support the running of the DBT Programme in collaboration with the DBT Lead, including individual therapy, skills training groups, weekly consultation team meetings, and phone coaching.
* Work with people from varied cultural backgrounds, including those seeking asylum, using interpreters when necessary.
* Create and enable equality of access to services for all and understand the psychological needs associated with migration.
Qualifications and Experience
* Clinical psychologist with experience in working with complex mental health needs, particularly with borderline/emotionally unstable personality disorder.
* Post-qualification experience in trauma-informed therapy and DBT is essential.
* Experience delivering trauma-informed principles within a multidisciplinary team setting.
* Leadership and consultation skills, enthusiasm for training and supervision within the MDT.
* Desire to work within an MDT, promote psychological and trauma-informed ways of working and develop leadership skills.
