About The Role.
As a Logistics Performance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our carriers and suppliers deliver exceptional operational performance, customer focus, and compliance to process - all while keeping operational costs in check.
Working as part of a dynamic team, you'll manage the operational interactions with over 350 Drop Ship Vendors (DSVs) and our carrier partners. From onboarding new suppliers to driving continuous improvement, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll build strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal teams, ensuring compliance, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance performance. Key Responsibilities:
* New Supplier Set-Up:
o Ensuring robust operational processes are in place and maintained.
o Building and maintaining strong working relationships with new vendors.
o Managing vendor integration with our systems and providing training to despatch teams.
o Overseeing label development, testing, and carrier collection set-up.
* Ongoing Vendor Support:
o Resolving operational issues and ensuring vendor compliance with despatch processes.
o Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock status with vendors.
o Building strong relationships with carriers and resolving any transport-related issues.
* Collaboration with Internal Teams:
o Partnering with Supply Chain Teams, vendors, and carriers to drive improvements.
o Supporting and delivering initiatives identified during QBRs.
* Site Audits and Compliance:
o Conducting site audits of carrier and supplier locations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
o Driving performance improvements and resolving carrier/supplier-related performance and customer issues.
* Delivery Carrier relationships:
o Maintaining great relationships with our network of delivery carriers.
o Ensuring Vendors have sufficient capacity to meet forecasts, considering special events and seasonality.
o Oversight of Customer delivery performance through vendors and carriers.
This role will be based at our Head Office in Speke, with occasional nationwide travel to our Drop Ship Vendor supplier base.
