Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be on the management team of a our bespoke service which provides a range of learning disabilities including mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical health needs as well as high functioning autism and Asperger's.
Role Purpose
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care while supporting the Registered Manager in service leadership. You will help drive compliance with CQC standards, develop high-quality support plans, and mentor a dedicated team. This role includes a clear pathway to becoming a CQC Registered Manager within 12-18 months.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Service Delivery
* Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring CQC compliance and high-quality service delivery.
* Lead the implementation of person-centred support plans, ensuring they reflect individual goals, preferences, and needs.
* Promote independence and community inclusion, supporting individuals to engage in meaningful activities.
* Oversee staff rotas, ensuring safe staffing levels and effective deployment of resources.
2. Quality & Compliance
* Develop and maintain high-quality support/care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
* Conduct monthly audits of care documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
* Lead on safeguarding procedures, reporting concerns promptly and following local protocols.
* Manage medication administration and staff competency checks.
3. Team Development
* Supervise and mentor support staff, conducting regular 1:1s, appraisals, and performance reviews.
* Deliver in-house training on autism awareness, communication techniques, and positive behaviour support (PBS).
* Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, reducing staff turnover and promoting professional growth.
4. Communication & Partnership Working
* Communicate effectively with professionals, including social workers, GPs, and families, ensuring a coordinated approach to care.
* Represent Go For It UK in multi-disciplinary meetings, advocating for the needs of the individuals we support.
* Build strong relationships with local communities and organisations to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or
