The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bill of Material (BOM) Controller experienced in managing and maintaining product BOMs, especially with complex variants. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of change management processes, proficiency in SAP, and the ability to support cross-functional teams with accurate BOM analysis.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update material BOMs in SAP, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
* Implement approved Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) within BOMs.
* Manage multiple product variants, ensuring proper structuring and classification.
* Compare and analyze BOMs across variants to identify commonalities and differences.
* Assess and document the complexity introduced by new or updated product variants.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Change Management teams to provide BOM insights.
* Create and validate accurate change tickets through BOM analysis.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BOM structure and process efficiency.
Personal Specification
* 1–3 years of relevant experience in BOM management within the automotive or motorcycle industry.
* Familiarity with motorcycles or motorcycle components is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in SAP (Material Master, BOM, Change Management).
* Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex variants in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong collaboration abilities.
* Experience with engineering documentation and change control processes is a plus.
