The Bobbin Carrier, Cleckheaton, is a well-established and high-volume community pub with weekly sales of around £22,000 and a strong 60% food mix, driven by its popular seven-day carvery. Located just off the M62 and M606, it benefits from consistent local trade and excellent accessibility, making it a go‑to for families and regulars alike.
The site offers a large and versatile trading space, including a dedicated kids’ zone, pub games area, function room, beer garden, external play area, and ample parking. It’s a brilliant platform for a General Manager to maximise multiple revenue streams, build on an already strong food offer, and drive events and community engagement.

Qualifications
Hands‑on General Manager with proven experience running a high‑volume carvery who can lead from the front, maintain consistency in food quality, and build a strong, motivated team. Clear opportunity to grow sales further through events, local engagement, and a well‑planned trading calendar.
Working Hours
As the General Manager of your pub, you’ll be required to work at peak trading times which involves evenings & weekends, as well as peak trading days such as bank holidays & the festive period.
Bonus
Your quarterly bonus is based on sales uplift vs budget, Reputation score & Employee Engagement. Your annual bonus scheme is based on sales & profit performance vs budget.
Other Information
Management accommodation is available; situated on the first floor above the pub with 3 bedrooms in the main accommodation, kitchen, bathroom and living room. There is also a 1 bedroom flat with a kitchen/living area, bedroom and bathroom.
