Main duties of the job

The post holder will work in an integrated multi-professional inpatient team that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, ward matron, staff nurses, medical staff, support staff and wider trust colleagues. The post holder would provide quality rehabilitation for a group of patients stepping down from the acute hospitals or stepping up from the community to avoid an acute admission.
Our ward specialises in stroke rehabilitation and general complex rehabilitation. The therapy team works in the Howard Johnson Therapy Hub, which includes a large gym, assessment kitchen and other spaces for computer access for electronic notes and referrals. We work as part of the wider Hazelwood ward team, on the ward, therapy garden and Howard Johnson Therapy Hub.
