About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and manage the day-to-day operations within our Digital, Media, Music, and Performing Arts department. This key role involves staff deployment, appraisals, timetabling, resource allocation, and ensuring effective staff cover. You will provide strong pastoral support to students, maintaining high standards of behaviour, attendance, and academic engagement through close liaison with programme departments. You will be expected to set and monitor student performance targets and report monthly to the Director of Curriculum. In addition to management responsibilities, the role includes delivering high-quality teaching, developing schemes of work and lesson plans, and actively contributing to course reviews and improvement strategies. Line management and peer observation duties are also essential, supporting ongoing development and maintaining excellence in teaching and learning. About You You hold a degree in Digital or Media, Music & Performing Arts, or a related discipline, complemented by a full teaching qualification and Maths and English at a minimum of Level 2. You either possess, or are committed to achieving, Assessor and IV qualifications within a defined timeframe. Y ou have a strong track record of delivering high-quality learning. You've successfully led and delivered projects and have demonstrated your ability to manage and develop a team effectively, ensuring positive outcomes and continuous improvement.
