Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Permanent Are you a caring and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist provision in Yeovil for a full-time, permanent Teaching Assistant to start immediately. This expanding setting caters for pupils aged 4 to 18 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), complex communication and interaction needs, autism, physical disabilities and associated behavioural challenges. The school is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership and dedication to personalised learning that prepares pupils for life beyond education. Hours: 8.40am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time). Role will consist of: Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Assist with literacy, numeracy and life skills activities Help pupils develop independence and confidence Provide personal care where required, following training Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families What We’re Looking For Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, ideally supporting children with SEN GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) Patience, resilience and a positive, proactive approach Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice Why Join Through Teaching Personnel?
