As Warehouse Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the NDC, supporting the Warehouse Leadership team and directly managing a team within your area. You'll ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation—driving team results, maintaining standards, and supporting ongoing improvements. This role also includes opportunities for development, including deputising for Shift Leaders where required. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve high performance. Model positive behaviours and drive continuous improvement across the operation. Monitor KPIs, complete operational reporting, and escalate issues where needed. Champion health & safety compliance, near-miss reporting, and accident investigation. Support the maintenance and updating of risk assessments, SSOWs, and SOPs. Ensure training plans and appraisals are completed and logged correctly. Promote strong stock management adherence to WMS processes. Deputise for management colleagues when required. Support operational improvement projects and best-practice initiatives. Carry out any additional duties necessary for smooth warehouse operations. About You – Person Specification Essential Experience Proven experience working in a WMS-controlled warehouse environment. Experience leading or managing a team in a distribution or operational setting. Awareness of health & safety and environmental regulations. Desirable Experience using Manhattan or similar WMS systems. Skills & Abilities A hands-on leadership style, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Confident in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Excellent organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle competing priorities while maintaining high standards.
