Overview of the role
Phoenix is a leading UK IT solutions and managed service provider, with a deep specialism in the public sector. We work with organisations across government, healthcare, defence, public safety, education, housing, and the charity sector - helping them modernise with confidence across cloud, data and AI, cyber security, and managed services.
Through strategic partnerships with the world's leading technology providers - and a trusted place on the major public sector frameworks - our work has a direct impact on the services that millions of people rely on every day.
Due to continued growth, we are hiring a AWS Solutions Specialist to sit within our Solutions Team and support the growth of our AWS partnership. This is a hands‑on sales and pre‑sales role focused on shaping AWS propositions, supporting go‑to‑market activity and progressing opportunities across our customer base.
What will you be doing?
* Support the development and execution of AWS sales strategy and go‑to‑market plans.
* Work with sales teams to identify, qualify and progress AWS opportunities across both existing and net new customers.
* Develop sector‑aligned AWS propositions with clear customer outcomes and value.
* Enable internal sales teams through training, updates and guidance on how and when to position AWS solutions.
* Support customer discovery conversations, helping shape solutions aligned to business needs and technical requirements.
* Contribute to bids, tenders and customer proposals.
* Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking and forecasting using D365 and internal systems.
* Work with AWS and partner vendors to support deal progression, funding programmes and joint opportunities.
* Manage vendor portals and support deal registration processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Track incentive programmes, funding opportunities and partner benefits.
* Create and maintain sales enablement and marketing materials, including playbooks, pitch decks and one‑pagers.
* Communicate effectively across Teams channels and internal forums to keep stakeholders aligned.
* Build strong relationships across sales, delivery and vendor teams.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, collaboration and speed from lead to close.
* Stay up to date with AWS services, partner solutions and wider cloud technologies.
