Overview

Residential Support Worker role at Compass Community. We are looking for determined, caring and thoughtful people to be long-lasting, significant adults in a child’s life. Previous experience is not essential; training provided.


What you will do

* You will help facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives. You will ensure their health and wellbeing, safeguarding them at all times.
* You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
* You will support the wider team with a range of domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
* You will create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.


Requirements and qualifications

* Age 22 or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
* Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
* Valid manual driving licence.
* Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.


Training and progression

Our Skills to Care induction includes two weeks of classroom-based training and a week of shadow shifts to prepare for the new role.
