Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities
Complete monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and revenues.
Develop and maintain accurate project cashflow forecasts.
Measure, assess, submit, and negotiate variations to the contract.
Provide commercial and contractual guidance to the project team.
Prepare, submit, and negotiate final accounts for the project.
Review and certify subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
Ensure all commercial processes and procedures are followed at project level.
Prepare and manage project purchasing targets and cost budgets.
Monitor project changes to maintain continuous awareness of cost status.
Identify opportunities for value engineering with contractors and consultants to deliver cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solutions.
Produce clear and comprehensive scopes of work in line with the projects build specification.
Manage procurement of all subcontract packages in accordance with company standards and sustainability goals.
Prepare scopes of work and trade package documentation.
Compile and recommend a selected tender list for approval.
To apply for the role the Quantity Surveyor must have the following:
Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
ONC, HNC, or equivalent technical qualification.
Demonstrated success in a comparable role within the M&E sector.
Chartered status with RICS/CIOB or a commitment to achieving membership.
Proven ability to deliver projects within demanding timeframes.
Strong strategic planning skills with a methodical approach to workload management.
