About the role:
Is your special skill compulsively generating ideas that have the potential to become global hits? Are you known for approaching creative problems differently from your colleagues? Do your decks leave a lasting impression, and look and feel as dynamic and impactful as your verbal pitch? If your notes app is brimming with creative thoughts typed at 3am between sleep cycles, your friends are bored of you cancelling plans to binge the latest unscripted formats as they drop, and you’d sell a kidney in exchange for a sneaky pre-TX link to the next series of Married at First Sight - this role in the central development team is a bit of you.
We are looking for a talented development producer with a proven track record in developing distinctive entertainment, fact ent and reality ideas, from original conception to greenlight, to join our London-based central development and design team. This is a unit that delivers vital creative and strategic support and definitive pitch materials that leave a lasting impression. We are looking for original thinkers who routinely come up with fresh ideas, who can point at shows on their CV which they’ve originated, who bring energy and enthusiasm to brainstorms and who can work toplines into smart returnable formats.
The ability to cut sizzles is a brilliant bonus, but the focus of this role is ideas generation and the ability to create unforgettable decks. In a market where pitch documents are expected to rival best-selling books, we need versatile, multi-skilled individuals who can produce compelling pitch materials. This team ensures the delivery of ideas and creative assets that are best in class.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the head of department, your main responsibilities include:
Regularly generating distinctive, must-have new concepts that have the potential to be returnable and scalable formats across channels and platforms. These ideas should resonate with an audience both in the UK and internationally, building on the success of our established brands. This role will be the lead generator in the team.
Having a comprehensive knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the entertainment and reality genres in both the UK and international market, and an in-depth understanding of commissioner needs.
Brainstorming formats and creative problem-solving, ensuring this team’s output always feels unique and memorable.
Being passionate about talent, and finding vehicles for both established and emerging names.
Designing punchy and premium-looking decks and pitch materials that boast visuals to consistently impress commissioners – ideally with experience of gen AI e.g. Midjourney and design programs like Canva.
Being a team player – working collaboratively with other roles that form the central development and design team as well as key stakeholders outside of the team. This isn’t a role for someone who prefers to work alone or exclusively on their own ideas - teamwork is vital for this position.
Desirable but not compulsory: being able to script and cut stand-out sizzles (either yourself or with an editor) for entertainment, fact ent and reality formats.
Are you the right candidate?
You will need to demonstrate:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience at development producer level, working specifically to develop entertainment/reality/fact ent ideas for linear television and streamers.
That you have created or contributed significantly to green-lit original formats in the entertainment, reality and factual entertainment formats space – we’d love to hear examples you’re most proud of.
A genuine passion for entertainment, fact ent and reality TV, and for developing innovative ideas.
The ability to write compelling copy, with a sense of mischief and fun in your tone.
An understanding of the current programming landscape and the ability to identify both gaps in the market and potential new global trends.
Versatility and an expansive skillset; including the ability to write well and generate pitch materials that really sell a programme, design premium-looking decks using programs such as Canva, Powerpoint and Photoshop.
An ability to manage time and resources, excellent communication and teamwork skills, strong multi-tasking and working well under pressure.
Production experience is desirable but not required.
Cutting sizzles is desirable but not required, but you'll be keen to upskill in the course of this role.

This is a unit that delivers vital creative and strategic support and definitive pitch materials that leave a lasting impression. We are looking for sizzle wizards who routinely script and cut their own tapes, who can show us examples that have perfectly presented the shows they were designed to sell – who also bring energy and enthusiasm to brainstorms and who can work toplines into smart returnable formats.
In a market where pitch documents are expected to rival best-selling books, and 90-second sizzles need to pack the punch of a Hollywood blockbuster, we need versatile, multi-skilled individuals who can produce compelling treatments, tapes and pitch materials. This team ensures the delivery of ideas and creative assets that are best in class.
