With perm oppotunities Shift Options: Monday to Thursday | 07:30 – 18:30 Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 About the Role We're seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join a leading Formula 1 team, ensuring components meet the highest standards of precision and performance. This role involves inspecting complex parts—predominantly composite components —using advanced metrology techniques and tools. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and manufacturers to maintain the exacting standards demanded in motorsport. Key Responsibilities Inspect and measure components for conformance to specification. Apply knowledge of manufacturing and composite technologies during inspection. Operate and program metrology equipment including CMMs, Absolute/Romer arms, Leica trackers, shadowgraphs, surface testers, and contour tracing machines. Conduct visual inspections and use hand tools for precision checking. Communicate inspection findings clearly to designers, manufacturers, and team members. Maintain a proactive approach to continuous improvement and workflow efficiency. Support metallic quality control when required. Core Competencies Proficient in a range of inspection methods from routine to complex. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Knowledge of parts manufactured from metals, plastics, and carbon fibre composites. Ability to make independent judgments on part quality and maintain accurate records. Organised, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Qualifications & Experience Recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant industry experience. Experience with Absolute arms, Leica trackers, and Polyworks software (probing, scanning, CMMs) is highly advantageous. Previous experience in Formula 1, motorsport, or high-end manufacturing is desirable.
