Our client in Corby is offering an opportunity to learn and work in the printing industry. If you are a hard-working and reliable candidate who is looking for a long-term career. Hours are on a three rotation – 06.00‑13.30pm, 13.30‑21.00pm Monday to Thursday and 21.00‑06.00am Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
* Machine Setup and Operation: Assisting in the preparation of printing presses by loading master reels, plates, cylinders, and screens.
* Quality Control: Conducting regular quality checks during production runs to monitor color accuracy, alignment, and product consistency against customer specifications.
* Maintenance and Cleaning: Performing basic preventive maintenance, such as oiling and lubricating machinery, and cleaning equipment after job completion.
* Material Preparation: Organizing and managing consumables, including mixing inks, solvents, and preparing substrates (paper, plastics, or textiles) for the next production cycle.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to strict safety protocols, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and safely handling hazardous materials.
Qualifications
* Attention to Detail: Vital for identifying subtle color variations or misalignments in the final output.
* Technical Aptitude: A strong interest in mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to learn complex software.
* Physical Stamina: Roles often require standing for long periods and performing manual handling tasks in a warehouse or factory environment.
