Contract Type: Permanent (Term-Time only)
Closing Date: 11 May 2026
Interview Date: 19 May 2026
The Role:
The Hive Primary Behaviour Service (PBS) Centre in Aldershot are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and inspirational Behaviour Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established PBS, providing support and challenge to mainstream primary schools in the Hart, Rushmoor and East Hants districts. The service works in partnership with schools and families with an emphasis on early intervention during the primary phase.
What you’ll do:
In this role you will need to demonstrate a high level of resilience, with the ability to manage complex behaviours confidently. You will need to be able to take direction from colleagues but also take in-the-moment decisions and use your initiative.
Take a look at the PBS website to ensure that you have a strong understanding of the service and how we work.
What we’re looking for:
You will have a passion for working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours and a resilient skill set that includes knowledge and understanding of de-escalation and co-regulation strategies. Alongside this, the ability to share these strategies with others, including school staff and families is essential. We welcome applications from those who are familiar with the work of the service and have spent time in a PBS centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your professional skills with a strong induction programme and ongoing CPD, including the opportunity to work closely with colleagues at the Harewood Centre in Basingstoke. You must have recent and relevant experience of working in schools with families and young children with additional needs, where behaviour has been an issue. We are always keen to hear from candidates who have ELSA, HLTA or Nurture Group experience.
