Department: Estates and Health & Safety

Reports to: Heads of Estates and Health & Safety
Contract Type: Permanent 40 hrs per week
Salary: £30,515.94-£33,104.18 DoE
The HSE Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Estates and Health & Safety functions, including fleet management and training coordination. Duties & Responsibilities
General
* Provide administrative support to the Heads of Estates and Health & Safety
* Manage departmental systems and processes
* Oversee the driving and fleet programme for Young Foundations and MHC
Estates
* Support construction and renovation projects with documentation and action tracking
* Assist with estates and maintenance plans across homes and schools
* Program access controls (SALTO)
* Support planning and architectural applications
* Maintain contractor records and certifications
* Vet and onboard new contractors into internal systems
Health & Safety
* Coordinate distribution of H&S alerts, awareness packs, and internal surveys
* Support the Young Foundations Training Function
* Monitor building compliance and manage H&S files and audit actions
* Track risks and arrange training for maintenance teams
* Produce monthly and annual H&S reports
* Conduct site inspections to promote H&S standards (training provided)
Fleet
* Manage vehicle acquisition and leasing strategy
* Coordinate maintenance plans with vendors or internal mechanics
* Ensure vehicle compliance (MOTs, insurance, licenses)
* Provide operational support to homes and schools
* Oversee telematics and fuel usage reporting
* Handle claims and accident management
* Plan vehicle replacements and monitor lifecycle costs, managage multiple tasks efficiently.
