The Role
The Devices Manager will lead the end-to-end strategy, engineering, and operations for enterprise device management across multiple platforms (Windows, iOS, Android).
This role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient management of all endpoints, aligning with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendor management, and driving innovation in device lifecycle management.
Your Responsibilities:
Define and implement device management strategy for enterprise endpoints.
Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as SOTI, AirWatch, and Microsoft Intune.
Manage device enrolment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
Ensure integration with identity and security frameworks (Azure AD, Microsoft 365).
Drive automation initiatives using scripting (PowerShell) and modern tools.
Collaborate with security, network, and infrastructure teams to maintain compliance and security posture.
Vendor engagement and roadmap planning for device technologies.
Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, and best practices for device operations.
Provide leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
Technical Expertise:
Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (SOTI, AirWatch, Intune).
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, iOS, Android device ecosystems.
Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Security & Compliance:
Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Automation:
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
Experience:
7–12 years in enterprise device management roles.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Exposure to retail processes in the UK environment.
Experience with camera control solutions and specialized device architecture.
Knowledge of cloud integration and advanced analytics for device performance.
