With current changes and developments within the Education Team a new exciting permanent position has become available for a Pupil Engagement Caseworker.
This position sits within the Learning and Skills directorate reporting to the Pupil Engagement Casework Coordinator and EOTAS Manager and will help to drive and deliver the aims in relation to EOTAS Framework for Action.

About the role
Pay Details: Single Status Grade 6 Pt 14-19 - £27,334- £29,777.
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Full Time position - 37hrs a week
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices Barry – also home working and making home and school visits.
To support the remit and function of the PE team; responsibility for monitoring and quality assuring of PE learners’ day to day, to do so by liaison with partners, providers, schools, parent/carer and learners via school meetings, home visits, engagement sessions and multi-agency meetings as appropriate.
To make an effective contribution to the PE Service’s goal of ensuring that children of statutory school age are safeguarded to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them and maximise their education.
To support improvement by offering advice and guidance, to parents/ carers, learners, and school professionals to ensure suitable curriculum provision and adaptations are considered, promoting the appropriate use of 14-19, promoting the use of pupil voice, person centred planning and use of data to meet learner need.
To lead on the recording, monitoring and quality assurance of data- including referrals to the social, emotional, and mental health panel (SEMHP).
About you
1. Qualification at A Level or higher in education or youth work or another comparable learner centred field.
2. Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
3. Safeguarding training
4. Excellent ICT and digital competence in a range of Microsoft office tools such as word, excel, teams, PowerPoint etc.
5. Training in relevant strategies to support the wellbeing of children and young people.
6. Be flexible, curious, engaged and to be an effective team player.
7. To be professional, open, honest, and transparent with stakeholders as a representative of the VoG brand
8. An ability to support others by being sensitive, tactful, and diplomatic in all situations.
9. Must be able to apply the principles of equal rights and confidentiality.
10. Be flexible, organised with an ability to use own knowledge base and initiative.
