We are writing a new and exciting chapter in the history of The Belfry. A major expansion and renovation project has begun at our resort, due for completion in Autumn 2025. With a substantial investment in excess of £80 million, we are enriching our resort including the addition of a new event space, The Masters Suite, 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club, and much more. So, join us on our journey as we unveil a new and unparalleled resort. About the role Are you a systems-oriented finance professional with a passion for numbers and a flair for leadership? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your financial expertise can truly make a difference? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our leadership team as our new Financial Controller. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our business — you’ll lead and develop our Finance Team, mentor our Assistant Financial Controller, and work closely with the Executive Team and Heads of Department to drive commercial success. You will ensure that we control our numbers from booking to bank statement, via multiple outlets, systems and revenue streams. You will deliver accurate, consistent data that you can use to generate insights and analysis, helping to shape decisions at the highest level. In particular, you will understand the myriad drivers behind the profitability of a complex resort and work with operational teams to ensure margins are optimised in the interests of our guests, our people and our investors. You’ll also support the Finance Director and be the key liaison with ownership, banks, legal partners, auditors and tax advisors, ensuring that our financial practices remain compliant and future-ready. The on-target earning potential for this role is a £65,000 annual salary, comprising a base salary of £62,500 supplemented by an estimated £2500 in gratuities per annum, ensuring a rewarding compensation package. Collaborate with Purpose: Partner with senior leaders across the business to influence key commercial decisions, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep our financial operations compliant, future-focused, and resilient by staying connected to regulatory changes, market trends, and innovative best practices. About you You’re more than just numbers — you’re a natural leader with sharp commercial instincts and a collaborative mindset. You can translate complex financial data into meaningful insights and influence stakeholders at every level.
