The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team on a temporary basis, providing essential support during a busy period. Working as part of a close-knit payroll group and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will:
* Manage end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 500 employees
* Process new starters, terminations, and adjustments
* Oversee payroll tax, superannuation, and incentive payments
* Maintain compliance with awards and enterprise agreements
* Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and audit preparation
* Support the Payroll Manager during the month‑end and EOFY cycles
Your Background
To be considered for this position, you will have:
* Immediate or short‑term availability
* Experience working in a high‑volume, multi‑site payroll environment
* Strong working knowledge of Micropay (essential) and familiarity with Tanda (desirable)
* Good understanding of payroll compliance, superannuation, and taxation
* Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative working style
