Job Title: Technical Account Manager – UK Security eligibility required.

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – typically 1+ days in‑office/client‑site per week)

Contract: Permanent, Full‑time

Package: £100,000‑£120,000 + 30% Bonus + 10% Shares + Benefits

Clearance: UK Security Clearance eligibility required.

* Technical interview deep dive with the Head of Engineering

Important – Clearance Eligibility

You must either hold active SC, or be eligible for SC:

* British Passport or ILR
* Resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years
* No criminal records
* No financial irregularities


About The Role

This senior, client‑facing engagement leadership role is responsible for driving account success, delivery quality and commercial growth across Appvia’s high‑profile cloud transformation engagements. You will own the relationship with one or more strategic accounts, manage projects from migration to platform engineering and AI enablement, and ensure Appvia becomes a trusted, long‑term strategic partner.


Key Responsibilities

* Client Relationship & Strategic Account Ownership
o Act as the senior lead contact for the client account and nurture executive‑level relationships.
o Understand the client’s business drivers, pain points and position Appvia’s value accordingly.
o Develop account growth plans, coordinate with sales/pre‑sales and support contract negotiations.
o Monitor account health through satisfaction metrics, retention and platform usage.
* Engagement & Delivery Oversight
o Oversee the portfolio of projects, ensuring governance, resourcing, milestone adherence and risk management.
o Provide technical oversight to guarantee architectural integrity and alignment with cloud best practices.
o Work with internal teams to ensure capacity and capability for the account.
o Run customer workshops and educational sessions on platform engineering, AI and data platforms.
o Serve as an escalation point for major delivery issues.
* Growth & Value Realisation
o Translate technical delivery into business outcomes and track value delivered.
o Develop and present value‑case updates and roadmap presentations to client leadership.
o Identify new product/service offerings that match the client’s next‑phase needs.
o Lead internal lessons‑learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Internal Collaboration & Leadership
o Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, product, consulting, finance and marketing to drive account growth.
o Mentor junior engagement/delivery leads within the account or across accounts.
o Contribute to thought leadership through client workshops, events and case studies.


Requirements

We are looking for a senior consultancy leader with a strong technical grounding and proven experience growing strategic technology accounts.

* Proactive, “get‑things‑done” mindset with ownership of client outcomes.
* Strategic thinker with execution focus, able to map business strategy to technical roadmap.
* Customer‑centric orientation with ability to build long‑term partnerships.
* Technical curiosity and continuous learner, staying ahead of cloud trends.
* Collaborative style with influence across internal teams without direct authority.


Essential Experience

* 8+ years of experience in cloud consulting, technical delivery leadership or account ownership.
* Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, platform engineering, DevOps, governance, cost optimisation and developer enablement.
* Proven success managing large/complex enterprise accounts in a consultancy environment.
* Experience leading multi‑stream technical engagements with delivery quality, forecasting and commercial growth.
* Confidence communicating with leadership‑level stakeholders and influencing decisions.
* Skilled in building and executing account growth plans.
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.


Desired

* Experience producing client case studies, testimonials and value‑realisation reports.
* Experience in regulatory, public sector, finance or highly complex environments.


Qualifications

* Expert‑level cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) such as AZ‑305, SC‑100, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
* Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKSS).
