Junior Buyer (Procurement Department) An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer to join a leading organisation based in Newtownards. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position (on-site). Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 4pm and Friday's: 8am - 2pm. With a salary of £28,000 per annum. Essential Criteria: Previous experience (within the past 12 months) working within purchasing or supply chain environment OR previous administration experience within procurement. IT Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office packages to include the use of Excel and ERP or inventory management systems e.g. Sage 200. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to strict deadlines. Analytical and numerate. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of producers and distributors in the food ingredients and packaging sectors. Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment or FMCG industry. Job duties: Manage the day-to-date administrative and operational support within the procurement department. Handling data. Maintaining procurement systems (to include data inputting). Supplier and vendor management such as researching new suppliers, managing relationships and maintaining contact. Monitoring stock levels.
