Job Title: Minor Works Project Co-ordinator Location: Hemel Hempstead Reports To: Project Manager / Contracts Manager / Operations Manager Department: Projects / Facilities / Construction Job Type: [Full-Time / Permanent / Contract] Job Purpose: The Minor Works Project Co-ordinator is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of minor construction, maintenance, or refurbishment works. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards, while maintaining excellent communication with clients and contractors. Key Responsibilities: · Coordinate and manage minor works projects from initiation through to completion. · Work with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of works. · Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and documentation. · Assist in preparing quotations, scopes of work, and procurement of materials and labour. · Ensure all works comply with health & safety, statutory regulations, and company standards. · Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance. · Handle client queries, track progress updates, and communicate changes or issues. · Maintain accurate records of costs, variations, and final accounts. · Support the preparation of RAMS, work permits, and handover documents. · Monitor and report on KPIs and project performance metrics. Skills and Experience: · Proven experience coordinating or managing minor construction or maintenance works. · Strong understanding of building services, M&E systems, or civil/construction practices. · Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines. · Familiarity with CDM Regulations, health and safety protocols, and building standards. · IT proficient - MS Office, project scheduling tools, CAFM systems (desirable). Qualifications: · HNC/HND or equivalent in Construction, Building Services, Project Management or related field. · SMSTS / SSSTS or equivalent safety qualification (preferred). · CSCS Card (preferred). · Full UK driving licence. Desirable Attributes: · Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. · Customer-focused with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations. · Experience in facilities management, housing, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
