Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
The Transfer Pricing Manager is responsible for managing the transfer pricing compliance requirements for Lonza globally, ensuring high-quality work is completed within the required timeframes and cost-efficiently. The documentation should reflect Lonza’s transfer pricing policy and support the group’s wider tax strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preparation of high-quality, consistent, and cost-efficient transfer pricing documentation for the Lonza Group worldwide.
2. Find solutions for complex problems in a technically sound yet pragmatic way.
3. Collaborate with the strategic TP team to ensure documentation reflects the group’s policy and mitigates potential risks.
4. Work with the Operational TP team to improve data collection processes and ensure coherence between implementation and documentation.
5. Coordinate with other stakeholders, particularly in Finance, for data collection.
6. Lead and coordinate a team preparing group-wide TP documentation.
7. Identify opportunities for process automation through technology.
8. Understand interdependencies between TP and other tax areas.
9. Communicate complex TP concepts to senior stakeholders.
10. Manage external support services efficiently.
Key Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in Economics, (Tax) Law, or Finance.
2. Experience in TP documentation projects with a global scope, preferably in-house.
3. Solid understanding of transfer pricing rules.
4. Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

6. Project management skills.
7. Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and propose solutions.
8. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
9. Strong focus on quality.
10. Understanding of process documentation and technology enablement.
At Lonza, we are committed to ethical practices, respecting our environment and people. We offer challenging opportunities to solve complex problems and develop innovative ideas in life sciences, making a meaningful difference worldwide.
