At Blenheim Palace, we're looking for a proactive and versatile individual to join our dedicated maintenance team. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on both the operational and private aspects of the Palace, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained space for everyone who visits or works here.
As part of our team, you'll take on a wide variety of tasks, from conducting essential daily compliance checks to handling repairs and maintaining building services and infrastructure. Whether you're assisting the Visitor Teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, supporting the Events Team during unforgettable occasions, or tackling projects independently, your work will be integral to the Palace's continued success.
This role offers the perfect blend of teamwork and autonomy. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive maintenance team, while also having the freedom to take initiative on tasks. It's a position that's as dynamic as the historic site you'll help sustain.
To meet the demands of this unique environment, you'll work on a 7-day rota working 08:00am to 17:00pm with a 1 in 4 weekend rotation, ensuring maintenance support is available during weekends and public holidays—our busiest periods. Flexibility is key, as occasional out-of-hours work will be needed for disruptive maintenance tasks or event support.

What are we looking for:
* Able to work individually and on their own initiative, whilst also able to work within a small close knit team
* To have a good understanding and recognition of H&S within the workplace
* To have an eye for detail and a highly motivated work ethic
* An enthusiasm to work under pressure within a demanding and diverse environment
* To be able to demonstrate a knowledge of maintenance skills; to ideally include a level of experience in plumbing, carpentry and electrical maintenance.
