Overview
Are you an experienced refrigeration service and maintenance engineer looking for a mobile role covering Dorset HealthCare services across Dorset? This is a newly developed role in a step towards broadening the skills and services provided by the Estates department to support our patients.
You will be provided with the autonomy to deliver both reactive and planned works under the supervision of the Mechanical Estates Officer, ensuring all patients, staff and visitors are safe.
This role requires daily travel, attending to refrigeration breakdowns, service and repair to all Trusts properties. At times, you will be expected to fulfil other tasks working closely with the mechanical, electrical and building teams. Using your skills, knowledge & experience you will help develop others within the Estates team.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance, breakdowns and repairs of all refrigeration plant and equipment.
* Carry out routine servicing to all refrigeration plant and equipment.
* Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
* Manage and maintain required stock levels with an emphasis of first fix, first visit.
* Carry out reactive and planned works to all other building services to include hot and cold water systems, ventilation, heating systems, drainage, safe electrical isolation and building fabric.
* Be part of the out of hours, on-call team at a set frequency.
* Be responsible for driving and maintaining a Trusts vehicle.
Working conditions & benefits
Full time role 37.5 hours per week 8am - 4pm Monday – Friday.
Recruitment and Retention payment of £3500 – split equally over a 12 month period.
On call allowance is paid monthly at 4.5% in addition to your salary.
You will be part of the out of hours call out rota which will attract additional payments.
