Market 36 Recruitment are currently looking for a Service Engineer on behalf of our client based in Witham, Essex on a permanent basis.
Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Service Engineer to report into the Service Manager/Engineering Manager in order to support their customer base of compressed air products, as well as their electrical industrial compressed air products including the maintenance, repair and installation of this equipment. You will be expected to be driving out to client/customer sites predominately but will be expected to head to the main office in Witham when required.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Promptly carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on our customers compressed air compressed air related equipment to a high level.
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer compressed air equipment
* Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
* Carry out compressed air pipework installation work when required.
* Provide thorough and detailed written service reports, identifying spare parts for service orders, etc.
* Work in accordance with, and apply Health and Safety regulations at all times, on and off site.
* Carry out work utilising good engineering practice at all times.
* Maintain all personnel and company test and inspection instruments, including testing and recertification.
* Effectively promote the company and their brand in a positive manner at all times.
* This role will be predominately based on client-based sites, so travelling is a requirement.
Experience, Education & Qualifications:
* Whilst not essential previous experience in the compressed air industry, or with compressed air would be good.
* Previous experience in an electrical or mechanical position.
* Mechanical and electrical qualification (time served on job qualified experience may be acceptable).
* Full UK driving licence – ideally clean.
* Good understanding and familiarity with computers and electric devices.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Salary: £30,000-£45,000 (DOE)
