Pay up to: £43.75 PAYE Per Hour - Exclusive of Holiday Pay
£49.03 PAYE Per Hour - Inclusive of Holiday Pay
£56 Umbrella rate Per Hour
Temporary contract, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri
Onsite role and not remote.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Independent Prescriber to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, a strong knowledge of pharmacology, and the ability to autonomously assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Requirements:
* Independent Prescriber qualification
* RCGP Qualifications Level 1 (and 2 or willingness to work towards)
* Experience of working within substance misuse (desirable)
The service you would work for is one of the largest complex integrated treatment services in England. We operate an MDT model and there is a real opportunity to work within a fantastic supportive team, including a mental health nurse offering specific interventions to support people, making a real difference to the lives of those in our community.
They have a strong ethos around staff development, with protected CPD time being offered, as well as individual and group supervision. All clinical services are supported by an experienced and dynamic multidisciplinary central clinical department.
Responsibilities of the role:
* Conduct clinical assessments with or without prescribing a range of medications (including controlled drugs) to support recovery in line with national and organizational guidelines and policies.
* Prescribe cost-effectively and according to best practice, providing prescribing information and advice to Pharmacists, Shared Care GPs, and hospital staff.
* Undertake service user-centered assessments, care planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reviews in practice and outreach settings.
* Manage Blood Borne Virus (BBV) risks, including assessment, pre- and post-test counselling, testing, and immunisation.
