We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team, where your compassion and professional skills will help shape brighter futures. We’re looking for a passionate and committed Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Chorley. Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team and reporting to the Team Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting children and families to build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve lasting positive change. You’ll carry out meaningful assessments, develop child-centred plans, and work directly with families to promote safety, resilience, and wellbeing. You’ll also contribute to reflective group supervision and ensure all work is recorded clearly and analytically on LCS. The role may be required to work evenings, weekends and occasional public holidays, in order to meet service requirements in respect of service user needs. About the Role As a Social Worker in our Family Safeguarding Team, you’ll work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and multi-disciplinary professionals to support children to remain safely at home wherever possible. You’ll use a strengths-based approach to empower families, reduce risk, and promote positive outcomes.
