Our client provides logistics services including Sea freight, Air Freight, UK & EU Road Haulage & Warehousing. They are seeking a motivated in-house Salesperson to help drive new business growth, develop client relationships, and expand their existing market presence. As Salesperson you will adopt a proactive sales approach, identify new business opportunities and engage with potential and existing clients to provide top-tier logistics solutions. Applicants for this role must have all round logistics experience, mainly in Sea (Import & Export), however experience in Air, Road, Warehousing would be an advantage.
* Role Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities through lead generation, outreach, and in-person meetings.
* Build, develop, and manage a client portfolio, fostering long-term relationships.
* Present the company's logistics services to potential clients and secure long-term contracts.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Maintain detailed sales records, tracking performance and pipelines.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
* Experience required
* Previous experience in sales, within sea freight logistics or a similar fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Proficiency in CRM software for managing client data and tracking sales performance.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to market shifts.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
* Strong numerical, literacy, and communication skills.
