Educato are working on behalf of a client SEN school who are looking to expand their support staff within their SEN unit. The school require two SEN Teaching Assistants to start in September and continue on a 12 month basis in the first instance. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025.
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to children with a range of special educational needs at a school based in Bolton. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Support individual and small groups of pupils in class and during targeted interventions
- Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Foster independence and confidence in every child
- Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
- Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply.
- A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to each child's unique journey
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
