We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!
As a Software Engineer for our Christchurch location, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, designing safety critical, real time control systems which underpin our electric vehicle controllers. Reporting to a project manager, you will be exposed to all stages of the software development. You will demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop in the role. You will be self-motivated, goal driven, and a team player who can enthusiastically collaborate with other engineers.
The ideal candidate for this role will design, implementing, and testing embedded software components, following defined development procedures and processes.

Your Challenge
* Designing, implementing, and testing embedded software components, following defined development procedures and processes.
* Writing of technical documentation.
* Design review meetings.
* Contributing to the innovation process.
What You Bring
* A relevant degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience.
* Good understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
* Familiar with electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs etc.
* A working knowledge of C or C++.
The following skills/experience would be advantageous but not essential:
* Bare-metal programming of microcontrollers.
* Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN or USB etc.
* Assembly language/machine code.
* Control theory
