Salters Medical Practice is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dedicated and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a busy GP practice setting.
As an ANP, you will deliver autonomous clinical care, including advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. You will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support patients requiring urgent and same-day care.
Main duties of the job
Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions.
Prescribe medications safely and appropriately as an Independent Prescriber.
Request, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and investigations.
Manage patients both face-to-face, remotely, and in their homes.
Support clinical triage and care navigation for urgent requests.
Refer patients to appropriate services using approved pathways.
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and practice targets (e.g., QOF).
Engage in continuous professional development and maintain professional registration.

Our clinical team includes four GP Partners, a Clinical Pharmacist Partner, two Salaried GPs, and GP trainees. We also regularly host medical students, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.

Person Specification
Experience
* Demonstrable experience in advanced nursing practice within Primary Care.
* Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely.
* Experience managing long-term conditions.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
* Advanced Practice qualification (degree level or equivalent).
* Independent Nurse Prescriber on NMC register
* Minor illness and triage qualifications.
* Teaching qualification.
