The purpose of the role The purpose of the role is to promote a food safety and quality culture in the business manufacturing site and support the FSQS and operations teams to ensure site compliance and FSQS continuous improvement Responsibilities Escalating and driving forward FSQS issues throughout the business. Promotion of Food Safety and Quality culture throughout the business Working closely with other departments in a fast-moving environment to ensure that business goals are met. Monitoring effectiveness and adherence of all hygiene systems and key site processes, supporting continual improvement. Conducting site compliance audits and working closely with various departments to address and correct any issues raised. Conduct objective analytical testing to support achievement of RCA and improvement. Support maintenance, implementation and improvement of the site HACCP, GMP, allergen, ISO and pest control systems. Ensuring high standards. Support root cause analysis and utilise lean techniques, scientific knowledge and analytical testing techniques. Support implementation corrective and preventative actions whilst ensuring that the actions are practical, workable solution and fall within the requirements of both internal and external standards. Supporting complaints and reject investigation and resolution. Be a frontline liaison and point of contact between FSQS and production. Deputise for food safety specialist in their absence. Conducting training of other departments in FSQS topics. Requirements A-level in a scientific / technical area or relevant experience Passion for food, quality and improvement Operational computer skills: MS word, excel and PP and computer / mobile device literate. Awareness / knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and auditing (preferable) Eye for detail. Effective communication Negotiation and interpersonal skill. Self-motivated, determined and effective time management
