Our Asset Integrity Team in Newcastle continues to grow, and we are looking for a motivated Integrity Engineer to join us during this exciting period of expansion.

Purpose of the Role

This role supports the delivery of integrity management and inspection activities for pipelines, pressure systems, and other energy infrastructure assets. You will contribute to assessments, reporting, data evaluation, and client deliverables, while developing your technical expertise under the guidance of senior engineers.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with 1–5 years of experience looking to grow their capability in asset integrity and build a career within a respected global consultancy.


Key Responsibilities


Project Support & Technical Delivery

* Assist with the development and maintenance of Integrity Management Plans (IMPs) for pipelines and pressure systems.

* Support risk‑based inspection (RBI) activities, remaining life calculations, and basic integrity assessments.

* Review and interpret inspection and survey data such as ILI, CP surveys, coating surveys, and visual inspections.

* Contribute to technical reports, integrity summaries, and client presentations.

* Help ensure all work complies with QHSE requirements, statutory regulations, and applicable international standards.


Learning & Development

* Work closely with senior engineers to deepen your knowledge of degradation mechanisms (corrosion, fatigue, etc.).

* Participate in competency development programmes and internal training sessions.

* Support internal technical communities by sharing lessons learned and contributing to improvements in tools, processes, and best practices.


Collaboration

* Engage with internal teams including the Asset Integrity Manager, senior integrity engineers, and the Centre of Engineering Excellence (CEE).

* Liaise with clients and contractors under guidance from senior staff.

* Assist with preparation of tender inputs, cost estimates, and proposals where required.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* 1–5 years’ experience in asset integrity, inspection engineering, corrosion, materials engineering, or a related discipline.

* Basic understanding of integrity management principles, inspection methods, and relevant industry codes/standards (training provided).

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical data and present findings clearly.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a consultancy environment.

* Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.

* Competent with Microsoft 365 and comfortable learning new engineering software tools.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.

* Working toward professional membership with IGEM, IMechE, or another relevant engineering institution is beneficial.
