In partnership with National Highways, Skanska is delivering the A47 road improvement project aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing safety. We are seeking a Section Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Norwich to lead the planning and coordination of works.
What You’ll Do
* Manage, supervise, and mentor the site team to enable them to perform their duties effectively and ensure works are constructed in accordance with the design and contract scopes.
* Generate temporary works design briefs, review designs and raise technical queries to design teams.
* Produce and update lookahead programmes, record and communicate progress, and create detailed plans for your section.
* Maintain accurate site records, raise requisitions, ensure compliance with subcontract scopes and identify cost savings in your section.
* Generate Inspection and Test Plans and manage material approvals.
* Complete Health & Safety inspections and implement courses of action.
* Identify and implement environmental awareness opportunities for your section.
We’re Looking For
* Degree in Civil Engineering or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
* Knowledge and understanding of construction and contracts.
* Health & Safety and Environmental Management training (SMSTS, SEATS).
* Relevant CSCS Card.
