Location: Hybrid working role that can be based out of our Lasham, Doncaster or Sywell sites.

About the Role
2Excel is an aerospace services and engineering business with multiple sites across the UK and one in Ireland.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental Manager to lead our environmental compliance agenda across our organisation.
This pivotal role shapes, delivers and assures our Environmental Plan to deliver our Sustainability Action Plan and our Net Zero Strategy.
You will manage our accredited Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), oversee audits, inform regulatory reporting and work closely with engineering, flying operations and supply chain teams to embed Sustainable practices across all our activities.
You will demonstrate our compliance with environmental standards and drive measurable improvements in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction, waste management and resource efficiency.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
You’ll be passionate about driving change, influencing at all levels and helping to shape a more Sustainable future. You’ll lead GHG emission measurement, reporting, (including Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) and Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) reporting) and target setting for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission reductions across the 2Excel Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop our Environmental Management System (EMS) and maintain our ISO 14001 certification.
* Lead GHG reduction, waste and biodiversity management and Sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
* Collect, analyse and report on environmental performance metrics including emissions, energy and resource use.
* Prepare Sustainability reports, including SECR and CRP reporting and target setting for Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions across the 2Excel Group.
* Coordinate audits and liaise with regulators, customers and partners.
* Assure our compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and standards; experience within aviation and awareness of emissions trading schemes would be an advantage.
* Engage employees and suppliers in Sustainability awareness, training and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements / Person Specification
Essential:
* Proven experience in an environmental management role within a regulated industry.
* Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, SECR and PPN 06/21.
* Skilled in data analysis, environmental reporting and performance monitoring.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, influence and communication skills.
* Strong project management ability, with a track record of delivering measurable improvements in environmental performance.
* Must have the right to live and work in the UK
Desirable:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field.
* Experience within aviation and awareness of CORSIA and ETS.
* Familiarity with waste management measures.
* Knowledge of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), renewable energy and/or emerging green technologies.
* Membership of a professional body such as IEMA or CIWEM.
