Autumn Leaf House is looking to recruit a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBS). This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week.
Autumn Leaf House is located in Castle Bromwich, Solihull. Our home offers residential support for eight males and females who are autistic. We are on a quiet street, near the town centre.
Our team are dedicated to improving the quality of life of the people we care for by setting achievable goals, to meet their individual needs and provide meaningful relationships and activities.

The PBS practitioner will work closely with the people we support, colleague teams and stakeholders to develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support for individuals and services.
The post holder will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:
* Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
* Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
* Incident support, analysis and colleague debrief
* Staff training & development
What you'll bring to the role
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support i.e. BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
* Be qualified or willing and able to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor
In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Person centred beliefs, values and attitude
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to work as part of a team in a leadership capacity, leading and influencing others positively
* An in depth understanding of the principals of Positive Behaviour Support and Principals of Applied Behaviour Analysis
* A history in conducting behavioural assessment and developing, implementing and evaluating interventions for individuals
* A history of direct support experience with people with a learning disability and/or Autism, and behaviours of concern
* A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices
* A history of the delivery of Positive Behaviour Support training
* Excellent record keeping and written skills including report writing
* Detailed understanding of the legal frameworks and policy relevant to the role, e.g. Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS, Safeguarding, risk management
